ATP Astana: Carlos Alcaraz opens against Holger Rune, Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev in the lower half
A top-class ATP 500 tournament will take place in Astana next week. Among others, CarlosAlcaraz , Daniil Medvedev and Novak Djokovic will start in Kazakhstan.

The week after his triumph at the US Open, Carlos Alcaraz represented Spain in the Davis Cup, and next week the world number one will return to the regular tour at the ATP 500 tournament in Astana. The 19-year-old will open against Holger Rune, after which he would meet Stan Wawrinka or Adrian Mannarino.
A possible opponent in the quarter-finals is Andrey Rublev, who in turn will initially measure himself against a qualifier. In the semifinals, Alcaraz could face Stefanos Tsitsipas or Hubert Hurkacz.
Djokovic opens against Garin
The lower half is populated even more densely. The superstar of the tournament, Novak Djokovic, landed in the third quarter of the tableau and initially plays against Cristian Garin. After that, the Serb would face Beibit Zhukayev or Botic van de Zandschulp before a duel with Jannik Sinner threatened in the quarterfinals.
At the bottom of the tableau is Daniil Medvedev, who is playing his opening match against Albert Ramos-Vinolas. In the round of eight, the 2021 US Open winner could meet Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime.
