ATP Challenger Istanbul: Zverev and Miedler continue

At the ATP Challenger tournament in Istanbul, Mischa Zverev reached the next round by beating Maximilian Neuchrist. Likewise Lucas Miedler, who defeated Alexandre Muller. Jurij Rodionov has lost his opening match against Hugo Grenier in Turkey.

A German tennis professional and an athlete from Austria can look forward to moving on to the next round at the ATP Challenger 90 hard court tournament in Istanbul. Mischa Zverev (ATP 293) prevailed in the first round after a task by 28-year-old Austrian Maximilian Neuchrist (ATP 723). Zverev's opponent had given up 5-2 in the first set due to injury. Lucas Miedler (ATP 262) also moved into the round of the last 32 players. The 23-year-old from Lower Austria defeated the 28-year-old Frenchman Alexandre Muller (ATP 275) 6: 4, 6: 4.

The final stop after the first match, however, was for Miedlers compatriot Jurij Rodionov (ATP 295). The 20-year-old lost to the French Hugo Grenier (ATP 329) 3: 6, 7: 5, 2: 6. Zverev will meet number five seeded Kazakhstani Denis Istomin (ATP 182) in the second round of the $ 81,240 tournament in the Turkish metropolis. Miedler is dealing with 21-year-old Brit Jay Clarke (ATP 183) in Istanbul.
