ATP Challenger Quimper: Dennis Novak is in the quarterfinals
Dennis Novak is in the quarterfinals of the Challenger tournament in Quimper after beating Evan Furness in two sets.

Dennis Novak missed qualifying for the Australian Open due to a positive corona test, but things are still going well for the Austrian in his first tournament of the year: After the opening success over Zizou Bergs, he defeated Evan in the round of 16 of the Challenger tournament in Quimper Furness with 6: 4 and 6: 4 through. Novak caught up an early break deficit in both sets.
In the quarter-finals, Novak, third in France, will now face Joao Sousa. The two will meet for the first time on the tour.
At the same time, Jurij Rodionov celebrated a success in the Challenger tournament in Columbus, USA. The 22-year-old fended off four match points against Brayden Schnur in the 6: 4, 5: 7 and 7: 5 win. He now meets Nick Hardt.
