Austrian Post is dedicating a unique special postage stamp to Dominic Thiem.

Austrian Post has something very special on offer - and not just for die-hard philatelic friends: Since yesterday there is a special postage stamp with Dominic Thiem. The collector's item is round, yellow and made from real tennis ball felt. The block with a face value of seven euros is available in a circulation of 150,000 in all post offices, online and from the Austrian Post's collector service.

Really unique design

The first copy was personally handed over to Dominic Thiem by the General Director of Austrian Post, Georg Pölzl. "Postage stamps are something special for many people, so I hope that I will make a lot of people happy with my personal stamp," said the Lichtenwörther when they were presented.

Pölzl is also enthusiastic about the cooperation with Austria's top tennis players: "I am extremely pleased that we are dedicating this innovative special stamp made of real tennis ball felt to such a successful local athlete." The concept behind the unique design, the processing, is not easy the big felt rolls a real challenge.

We think the result looks great and was definitely worth the effort:
