The Mallorca Championships in Santa Ponca offer the tennis aces perfect conditions for an optimal preparation for the Grand Slam highlight in Wimbledon! In addition, the top stars enjoy the advantages and amenities of the Spanish island. Stefanos Tsitsipas looked forward to a refreshing dip in the sea every day, while Australian crowd favorite Nick Kyrgios also undertook exploratory trips on a scooter during the tournament week.
In terms of sport, the tournament for Kyrgios was over on Wednesday. After reaching the semi-finals in Stuttgart and HalleWestfalen and his dramatic first-round success against Laslo Djere, Kyrgios was no longer able to compete against Roberto Bautista Agut.
Kyrgios still at the Players Party
Speaking of Tsitsipas and Kyrgios - this week the duo, like German Formula 1 driver Nico Hülkenberg, received honorary membership of the Mallorca Country Club, which is run by the Austrian trio Marie Walketseder, Edwin Weindorfer and Christian Baha. The list of honorary members, which already includes Prince Albert of Monaco, Naomi Osaka, Daniil Medvedev, Novak Djokovic, Dominic Thiem, Tommy Haas, Carlos Moya and Toni Nadal, has thus received another prominent addition.
The stars of the Mallorca Championships spent a relaxed evening with a delicious buffet and cool DJ rhythms on Wednesday at the Players Party in Fergus Style Tobago. In addition to Nick Kyrgios, the Spanish local heroes Roberto Bautista Agut, Pablo Carreno Busta and Feliciano Lopez as well as the US boys Marcos Giron and Mackenzie McDonald followed tournament organizer Edwin Weindorfer's invitation to the party at the official players' hotel.
