Andy Murray failed in the second round of the ATP Masters tournament in Cincinnati to compatriot Cameron Norrie

The three-set success over Stan Wawrinka should remain the only match success for Andy Murray at the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Cincinnati in 2022: the two-time Wimbledon champion drew 6: 3 in the second round of the hard court classic in the US state of Ohio ,-3:6,-4:6 defeat against his compatriot Cameron Norrie. The Scot suffered from severe cramps in his right thigh towards the end of the game. The 26-year-old, who was born in South Africa, will face either local hero and wildcard player Ben Shelton or Norwegian Casper Ruud in the round of 16.

Andrey Rublev and Fabio Fognini also had fun over three sets. Finally, after 2:27 hours, the Russian was able to break through with 6:7 (7), 7:6 (3) and 6:2 against the Italian. In an extremely balanced game, the man from Moscow benefited from his good chance evaluation in the decisive phases. The next stop for number eight in the ATP ranking could be Nick Kyrgios from Australia or US boy Taylor Fritz.

Felix Auger-Aliassime made short work of Alex de Minaur - after 78 minutes the Canadian was the winner 6:3, 6:2 over the man from "down under". The 22-year-old from Montreal can play against Jannik Sinner from South Tyrol or Miomir Kecmanovic from Serbia in the round of 16.

Here the single tableau from Cincinnati.
