Stefanos Tsitsipas was able to beat Grigor Dimitrov again in two sets at the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Madrid

Stefanos Tsitsipas still has every chance of winning two ATP Masters 1000 clay court events in a row. The Greek, who defended his title in Monte Carlo in April, is in the quarterfinals of the combined tournament in Madrid. Tsitsipas defeated Grigor Dimitrov 6: 3, 6: 4 in the round of 16 and is only in the last eight for the second time in his young career in the Spanish capital. Last year, the current fifth in the world rankings was over in the second round against the Norwegian Casper Ruud.

Auger-Aliassime next opponent of Zverev

Two weeks ago, Tsitsipas and Dimitrov also clashed in the round of 16 at the ATP World Tour 500 tournament in Barcelona, and then Helene was able to succeed in two sets 6: 1, 6: 4. The serve in particular is currently working excellently for the 23-year-old, Dimitrov was visibly overwhelmed as a return player in both games. The 2019 ATP Finals winner meets the Russian Andrey Rublev in the quarterfinals, who in turn defeated the British Daniel Evans 7: 6 (7), 7: 5.

Felix Auger-Alliasime, who gave Jannik Sinner no chance 6:1, 6:2 in a surprisingly weak game, is also clearly ahead. The Canadian is the next opponent of Germany's number one Alexander Zverev. In the head-to-head of the two, the Hamburger leads 4: 2, the only duel between the two opponents on sand dates from 2019, when Zverev won 6: 1, 6: 4 in the second round of Monte Carlo .
