Again in dispute with the referee: Nick Kyrgios

Many tennis fans were looking forward to this match. Nick Kyrgios, who is currently in such a good mood, against the 20-year-old youngster with many opportunities - and that in the best weather on Miami's Center Court. If Nick Kyrgios is part of the game, it also means that tennis is not always in the foreground. Same this time. When the first set had to be decided in a tie-break, Kyrgios' head was already off the pitch.

What happened? Referee Carlos Bernardes' radio was set so loud at times that it combined with the microphone to produce audible background noise. Kyrgios let himself be disturbed by this, tried to talk to Bernardes and accused him that something like this shouldn't happen in a game like this. Meanwhile, Jannik Sinner remained calm on the other side - even when Kyrgios had to accept a direct point deduction in the decisive phase of the tie-break. Set one went to Sinner. Kyrgios still didn't calm down, destroyed his racket and had to watch Bernardes deny him the first game of the second set immediately afterwards.

Sinner remains unimpressed

Of course, Kyrgios' behavior and Bernardes' reaction made the crowd grow louder rather than quieter. They became more and more supportive of Kyrgios while 20-year-old Sinner kept to himself . Of course, he benefited from the gift of the first service game at the beginning of the second set, which was equivalent to a break. When he served himself, the Italian didn't let anything burn. Sinner will meet either Francisco Cerundolo or Franes Tiafoe in the quarterfinals.
