Stefanos Tsitsipas has successfully started the ATP Masters 1000 event in Miami

Damir Dzumhur had little to oppose Stefanos Tsitsipas on this Saturday afternoon. The Bosnian had to watch without a chance as the co-favorite for the title made his place in the round of 32 in an extremely sovereign manner. The Greek overran Dzumhur with 6: 1 and 6: 4 and now meets Kei Nishikori, who had to work much harder for his entry into lap two.

As a few days ago, the Japanese met the Slovenian Aljaz Bedene in the USA. While the former top 5 player still had the upper hand in two sets in Dubai, the 31-year-old had to work a lot harder for his win in Miami. After Nishikori had won round one with 8: 6 in the short decision, the veteran had to accept the set compensation with 5: 7. In the third round, the Japanese finally got the upper hand 6: 4. Against Tsitsipas, however, Nishikori goes into the race with a positive head-to-head, the only duel so far went to the 31-year-old in Tokyo in 2018.

Musetti emphasizes top form

Also in the round of the last 32 is a young man from Italy, who last made a lot of talk in Acapulco: Lorenzo Musetti. The 19-year-old has so far underlined his brilliant condition in Miami and is in the third round after victories against Michael Mmoh and now also against Benoit Paire. In this, Musetti now meets the winner of the clash between Marin Cilic and Cristian Garin.
