ATP Parma: Struff eliminated in the quarterfinals

Number four seeded Warsteiner had to admit defeat to American Tommy Paul (No. 6) 2: 6, 4: 6 on Thursday and revealed weaknesses a few days before the start of the French Open. After 1:16 hours, Paul converted his second match point.
After a bye at the start, Struff had only prevailed in the round of 16 against 19-year-old Italian Flavio Cobolli, number 429 in the world, in the tie-break of the third set. The 31-year-old was also unable to convince against Tommy Paul.
Struff was the last German starter in Parma. Daniel Altmaier (Kempen) had clearly lost to French Richard Gasquet in the first round.
