Matteo Berrettini will play for the title in the Queen's Club on Sunday

Cameron Norrie is still missing one win to become the next domestic winner after Andy Murray in 2016 at the ATP Tour 500 event in London's Queen's Club. For Norrie it would be the first triumph in the traditional preparatory tournament for Wimbledon, Murray is the record holder in London with his five titles. However, the veteran had already failed in lap two due to Matteo Berrettini. And that's exactly what Cameron Norrie has to face in the final on Sunday. Because Berrettini prevailed in his semifinals against Alex de Minaur with 6: 4 and 6: 4 just as confidently as Norrie against the second placed Denis Shapovalov with 7: 5 and 6: 3. The Canadian had to finish his match against Frances Tiafoe, which was canceled on Friday, at lunchtime and did so confidently.

For Norrie, who was born in South Africa, the chance of his first title ever on the ATP tour opens up, Berrettini has four on his balance sheet so far, the last was in Belgrade on sSnd. The last time he demonstrated how great the Italian can play on grass was in Stuttgart in 2019. At that time, Berrettini only allowed two breakballs on his way to winning the tournament and never gave up his service.
