The first two movements in this endgame could not have been more different. After Milos Raonic got off to a much better start and secured round one with 6: 1, Borna Coric found better and better in the game and managed to equalize the set with the same result.

In the third round of the decision it initially looked as if Milos Raonic could turn things around again, but in the first game the Canadian missed two breakballs and had to give up his serve to make it 3-2 a little later. His Croatian opponent was able to carry this break lead after almost exactly two hours of playing time to win the match 6: 1, 1: 6 and 6: 4.

Coric in the final against Rublev

On Sunday Borna Coric will meet Andrey Rublev, who had reached his fourth ATP final of the current season with an impressive performance against Denis Shapovalov. For both players tomorrow it's about the second title win at ATP 500 level. However, local hero Rublev is clearly to be favored because of the performances in recent weeks. "It will definitely be a very difficult match, he is obviously playing the best tennis of his life at the moment," said Borna Coric after his victory about the strength of the Russian.
