Three Italians and the Spanish defending champion: This is what the semi-final line-up at the ATP Tour 250 tournament in Umag looks like. Carlos Alcaraz was the last player to make it into the semi-finals on the Croatian coast with a 6-0 and 6-4 win over Facundo Bagnis. The Spaniard faces Giulio Zeppieri, who held his own against Bernabe Zapata Miralles in the quarter-finals.

After taking the lead in the second set, Sinner had to go into a tiebreak against Roberto Carballes Baena, but ultimately won 6: 4 and 7: 6 (5). The South Tyrolean has to play against his compatriot Roberto Agamenone, who was able to hold his own against Marco Cecchinato in two sets.

Alcaraz and Sinner last met in the round of 16 at Wimbledon. There, the Italian was somewhat surprisingly able to be celebrated as the winner.
