Novak Djokovic has further cemented his exceptional position in the ATP world rankings: With the success against Rafael Nadal in the final of the Australian Open, the Serb will greet from the top of the charts until further notice. Nadal was also able to increase his points account, as he had to give up against Marin Cilic in the quarter-finals last year.

Back in third place is Alexander Zverev. The Hamburg native was already that high in November 2017. Roger Federer fell behind after the knockout phase against Stefanos Tsitsipas. The Swiss is currently ranked sixth. Federer's 2018 final opponent, Marin Cilic, slipped to tenth after his loss to Roberto Bautista-Agut.

Dominic Thiem remains in the top ten. Lichtenwörther, who had to give up against Australian Alexei Popyrin in round two, is in eighth place. Sensation man Stefanos Tsitsipas approaches the top ten with his semi-final entry from Melbourne and is currently twelfth.
