Fabio Fognini is seventh in the Race to London

No doubt: Fabio Fognini is the big winner of last week - even if the success at the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Monte Carlo catapulted the Italian "only" to position twelve in the current ATP charts. After all, an improvement by four ranks - and at the same time a career high for Fognini. The same applies to the final loser Dusan Lajovic. However, the Serb halved his ranking from 48 to 24.

The world rankings are still led by Novak Djokovi, whose lead over Rafael Nadal has increased somewhat due to his semi-final defeat in Monte Carlo. Alexander Zverev follows in third place, but only 180 points ahead of Roger Federer. Dominic Thiem remains fifth.

Zverev lagging behind in the race

In the Race to London, Fognini made an impressive jump of 90 (!) Places. As of now, the Italian would be seventh for the season finale in London, as would Thiem, who is one position ahead of him. Daniil Medvedev overtook the Austrian with his semi-final entry in Monte Carlo.

By the way, Alexander Zverev has some catching up to do in this ranking: The defending champion in London is currently only in position 21 in the race.
