Novak Djokovic will close the opening day of the Australian Open at the Rod Laver Arena. The defending champion was nominated for the second match of the night session on Monday (live on Eurosport and in Austria on ServusTV), the opponent will be the German number two Jan-Lennard Struff. Roger Federer will play Steve Johnson's third match of the day at the largest stadium, which will be opened by defending champion Naomi Osaka at 11:00 a.m. local time (1:00 a.m.CET).

Both Williams sisters will also start on Monday: Serena in the Rod Laver Arena against Anastasia Potapova, Venus in the hit of the day on the women's side against Cori Gauff (third match after 01:00 CET in the Margaret Court Arena). Stefanos Tsitsipas tackles Salvatore Caruso's task in the second largest stadium.

Thiem only on Tuesday

And for the third covered court, the Melbourne Arena, the games are almost complete. And that's where Caroline Wozniacki gets another stage for her last tournament as a professional tennis player. It's against the American Kristie Ahn.

Dominic Thiem , on the other hand, has to wait. The top half of the grid for men only starts playing on Tuesday.
