Anastasija Sevastova surprisingly won the hard court edition of bett1Aces. The Latvian beat Petra Kvitova 3: 6, 6: 3 and 10: 5 in the final.

Sevastova had only slipped into the tableau for a short time, actually the French woman Carolin Garcia should have opened in Berlin.
