Top talent Jannik Sinner reached the final at the second Berlin invitation tournament. The only 18-year-old Italian prevailed in Hangar 6 of the former Tempelhof Airport on hard court against the world ranking twelfth Roberto Bautista Agut in two sets with 7: 6 (5) and 6: 2.

Jannik Sinner and Roberto Bautista Agut did not give anything for a long time, after an early break on both sides it was Sinner who had two set balls at 5: 4. The Spaniard was able to fend off both and immediately had three breakballs on his side. But this could not take advantage of these opportunities, so a tie break had to bring the decision. In this, Bautista Agut got off to a better start, but then his 18-year-old opponent turned up and secured round one with 7: 6 (5).
The second set was clearer, Sinner had two breaks, and the Italian secured the victory 6: 2. It was another big exclamation point of the 18-year-old, who showed a strong performance against Dominic Thiem a few days ago. David Goffin also celebrated a win against a top 10 player this year.
In the final against known opponents
In the second semi-final, former professional Tommy Haas and world ranking third Dominic Thiem face off. The 42-year-old Haas prevailed in the German duel against Jan-Lennard Struff on Friday. For Jannik Sinner, both possible opponents of the endgame are familiar faces. Against Dominic Thiem, the South Tyrolean had to surrender in two sets at Steffi Graf Stadium, at the first event of bett1aces, against old master Haas one round earlier in the deciding set.
You can watch the semi-final between Haas and Thiem in the tennisnet live ticker, ServusTV broadcasts the game live on FreeTV. The finale at Tempelhof Airport will rise on Sunday.
