Still quite fresh in memory: the final Croatia vs. Argentina, held in 2016. And of course the instant classic between Marin Cilic and Juan Martin del Potro. Cilic could have made it clear for the hosts, took the lead with 2-0 sets, but delPo did something in Zagreb that he had never done before. Much to the delight of Diego Maradona. After that he was allowed to celebrate the third point of the Argentines. Presented by Federico Delbonis, who breaded Ivo Karlovic.

It may have been "only" the quarter-finals in 2014, but Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Peter Gojowczyk played their entry fee in Lyon. Until the bitter end from the point of view of the hosting French. 2-0 for Germany thanks to the victories of Tobias Kamke and Gojo on Friday - nevertheless Tsonga and Co. played in the semi-finals.

Speaking of 2014: We would like to bring a double into play - especially since it will probably be the very last time that Stan Wawrinka and Roger Federer have worked together for Switzerland. It was 1-1 after day one, the French had chosen Julien Benneteau and Richard Gasquet in the Lille final. No order for "Fedrinka".

There is still a double: April 2018 in Valencia, the Spaniards have decided to pair Feliciano and Marc Lopez, the German Davis Cup boss Michael Kohlmann counters with Jan-Lennard Struff and Tim Pütz. The bullring is upside down, at the end cheers black, red and gold. To suffer with Philipp Kohlschreiber on Sunday.

A few months later, the last highlight in classic format: Croatia, the future champion, has to shake until the very end to reach the final. It is Borna Coric who, after a 1-2 set deficit against Frances Tiafoe, takes the decisive point.
