Exhibition tennis in the week leading up to Wimbledon has a tradition almost as strong as the classic in South West London itself. Just play a few sets in competitive conditions but without the pressure of fighting for world ranking points. In recent years, some of the top players have mellowed at The Boodles, a tournament at Stoke Park hosted by former Alexander Zverev manager Patricio Apey. The Boodles are on hiatus this year due to renovations. And so we meet at the Hurlingham Club in London from June 21st to 26th. For the first time since 2019.

In this specific case, “Man” includes two tennis legends, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, who are among the very narrowest of favorites in Wimbledon. And with Carlo Alcaraz andCasper Ruud , two young men who still have to prove themselves on grass. But they are already playing for the really big titles on all other surfaces. And some of them have already won. And maybe Andy Murray will stop by too. Félix Auger-Aliassime is also reported as confirmed.

Nadal, Djokovic, Alcaraz without a competitive match after Wimbledon

However, the greatest attention will probably be paid to Djokovic and Nadal, who recently had a fantastic match in the quarter-finals of the French Open. With a better ending for Nadal, who has used the past few days to get used to the grass in Santa Ponsa, Mallorca. Novak Djokovic took part in the doubles competition there last year, and in 2022 the defending champion of Wimbledon will only prepare at the Hurlingham Club.

Like Djokovic and Nadal, Alcaraz has dispensed with lawn tournaments on the ATP tour, Casper Ruud was eliminated in London's Queen's Cub in round one against Ryan Peniston. Félix Auger-Aliassime was the most diligent: The Canadian reached the semi-finals in 's-Hertogenbosch, only lost out in the quarter-finals against Hubert Hurkacz yesterday in HalleWestfalen.
