In November 2012, at the invitation of the state of Rio de Janeiro, the Serb spent several days at the Sugar Loaf for the joke game against the three-time French Open winner as well as campaigns in social projects. However, the 16-time Grand Slam winner received only 450,000 from the agreed fee of USD 1.1 million.

According to a legal notice published on Thursday, a court in Rio awarded him last week the payment of the remaining $ 650,000, including compound interest, exchange rate compensation and reimbursement of the lawyer's fees. According to the verdict, the 32-year-old is now entitled to at least three million reals, which is the equivalent of around 650,000 euros today.

Djokovic had lost the first lawsuit against the federal state in 2015, but last June the current number 2 in the world rankings filed another lawsuit. For now, with success.
