DTB German Ladies Series presented by Porsche: Siegemund convinced, Friedsam loses
Favorite Laura Siegemund started with a victory in the DTB German Ladies´ Series presented by Porsche. Comebacker Anna-Lena Friedsam stumbled on the other hand.

Siegemund, who had just returned to Germany from Florida a few days ago, won 6: 3 and 6: 1 against youngster Alexandra Vecic. The next opponent is Romy Kölzer in Stuttgart at home tomorrow, who stepped in for the injured Carina Witthöft.
While Tamar Korpatsch was able to assert herself in two sets against Nastasja Schunk in Darmstadt, co-favorite Anna-Lena Friedsam surprisingly lost in three sets against Julia Middendorf.
