The German Tennis Association (DTB) is increasingly campaigning for inclusion on the flags. Together with the Gold Kraemer Foundation, the association wants to further open tennis to people with disabilities at all levels.

Aktion Mensch has now taken up the "Tennis for All" initiative for three years and thus supports the systematic creation of inclusive structures in the German association and club landscape.

"We are very happy about the support provided by Aktion Mensch, because there are still far too few people with disabilities doing sports," said DTB Vice President Eva-Maria Schneider: "Tennis, with its various adjustment options, is particularly suitable for the various forms of disability . "

With the help of the new project funds, more contact points, more offers and therefore more incentives for people with disabilities are to be created in the association structures in the future.

A popular sports and youth-oriented wheelchair tennis tournament series of para-tennis as well as networking opportunities are to be created.

With around 1.4 million members, the DTB is the third largest sports association in Germany. Only football (DFB, 7.1 million members) and the gymnastics association (five million members) have more. This emerges from the membership survey of the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB).
