Emma Raducanu represents a new generation of successful young players on their way to the top of women's tennis. She is currently ranked 13th in the WTA world rankings. Following her success at the US Open, she was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire for services to her country earlier this year. She is the youngest woman to have received this honor. In April she will serve for the first time at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart's Porsche Arena.

"It means a lot to me to be able to represent Porsche as a brand ambassador," says Emma Raducanu. “Porsche is a brand that has fascinated me since I was a child. One of my first coaches drove a Porsche 911. I would stare at that car every morning I came to practice and dream of one day owning one myself. My love of motorsport also has a lot to do with Porsche. I used to watch the final races in the Porsche Carrera Cup at Brands Hatch. When working with partners and brands, it is important to me that I can develop a passion for them and identify with them. At Porsche, that fits perfectly. This partnership is incredible and I look forward to many exciting activities together.”

"Welcome to our family of brand ambassadors"

"We are delighted to welcome Emma Raducanu to the Porsche family as a brand ambassador," says Oliver Blume, CEO of Porsche AG. "She not only embodies a new generation of strong and self-confident players, but as a personality beyond her sport she is an inspiration and role model for young women all over the world. She shows them that you can achieve your goals if you believe in yourself and are willing to work hard for it. This makes her an excellent fit for Porsche and the values that the company stands for.”

“Emma Raducanu is a great personality – on and off the pitch. With her appearances in Wimbledon and at the US Open, she has not only inspired tennis fans. She combines dynamic and powerful play with passion and aggressiveness,” says Sebastian Rudolph, Head of Public Relations, Press, Sustainability and Politics at Porsche AG. "Even away from the courts, she is a likeable, eloquent and self-confident young woman. We say welcome to our family of brand ambassadors.”

Emma Raducanu is the first British Grand Slam champion since Virginia Wade in 1977. She was born in Toronto, Canada on November 13, 2002 and moved to the UK with her parents when she was two years old. Her father is from Romania, her mother from China. She was five when she started playing tennis. She was eligible to play in ITF tournaments for U18 players from the age of 13 - just eight days later she won the Nike Junior International in Liverpool. She was the youngest tournament winner in ITF history. As number 338 in the world rankings, she was allowed to serve in Wimbledon in 2021 thanks to a wildcard and made it to the round of 16. With the sensational victory at the US Open, she then achieved the greatest success of her young and promising career.

Brand ambassador as part of the Porsche family

Emma Raducanu joins the Porsche family as the new tennis ambassador. In tennis, for example, this includes the currently best German player Angelique Kerber. The Englishman Paul Casey is also active in the sport of golf and football world champion Sami Khedira is an ambassador for Porsche youth development. In addition, the rally legend Walter Röhrl, the Australian long-distance world champion Mark Webber and the two-time Norwegian Olympic champion Aksel Lund Svindal will represent the sports car manufacturer for corporate and product communication. Two former Porsche works drivers are also among the brand ambassadors: GT specialist and development driver Jörg Bergmeister and two-time Le Mans winner Timo Bernhard.
