Specifically, it is about the game between Andreea Mitu / Patricia Maria Tig against Madison Brengle / Yana Sizikova. It is said that there were conspicuous bets in the fifth game of the second set, allegedly several hundred thousand euros were involved. Several betting providers have sounded the alarm./

The fifth game of the second set actually looks suspicious in this regard: Sizikova fabricated two double errors - a second serve landed deep in the net -, with a backhand she also crouched deeply, was only reluctant to stand again and did not arrive the next ball. She lost her service game to zero.

The 25-year-old Russian Sizikova is currently number 89 in women's doubles, in singles she is in 652th place.

The Tennis Integrity Unit (TIU), which deals with betting fraud for the ITF, did not want to comment on the WELT . The monitoring company Sportradar, the guardian of the betting market, referred to ongoing investigations and did not comment.

Mitu and Tig won the game 7: 6 (8), 6: 4.
