The conditions were not the best for Kenin: she had played against Collins three times so far, and until the meeting on Wednesday in Paris there was still no win. And even in the last women's quarter-finals in Rolamd Garros 2020 it looked like the momentum might turn in the direction of Danielle Collins after all. After the set equalization of the former college player, both players took a break - and Kenin came back fresher from the locker room, left her opponent no more play in the decision.

In the semifinals, Kenin faces Petra Kvitova. The Czech beat Laura Siegemund 6: 3 and 6: 3 and reached the semi-finals in Paris for the first time since 2012. The two surprise women Nadia Podoroska from Argentina and the Polish Iga Swiatek are fighting for the second place in the final, who surprisingly knocked tournament favorite Simona Halep out of the table in the round of 16.
