French Open 2021: Krejcikova also wins double titles with Siniakova

The Czech Barbora Krejcikova became the first tennis player since Mary Pierce to win the "double" at the French Open in 2000. One day after her surprising single triumph, the 25-year-old also prevailed in doubles on Sunday alongside her partner Katerina Siniakova.

In the final they defeated the US-Polish doubles Bethanie Mattek-Sands / Iga Swiatek 6: 4, 6: 2 and repeated their triumph of 2018. In the singles, Krejcikova had the Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova 6: 1, 2: 6 on Saturday , 6: 4 down and triumphed as the first Czech since Hana Mandlikova 1981, who had started under the flag of Czechoslovakia.
