The final against Solana Sierra from Argentina was comparatively easy for Lucie Havlickova. The ninth seeded Czech only needed 73 minutes to win her first title as a junior in a Grand Slam tournament. In the round of 16 against the German Joelle Steur it was much closer, Havlickova was only able to finally take control late in the match tiebreak. Havlickova also had to go the full distance in the quarterfinals and semifinals.

There was a much-celebrated home win for the juniors on Saturday on the Simonne-Mathieu court: Gabriel Debru, number 14 in the tournament, defeated the unseeded Belgian Gilles Arnaud Bailly 7:6 (5) and 6:3.
