French Open 2022: Muchova shocks Sakkari, Gauff certainly continues

Karolina Muchova may only be in 81st place in the WTA world rankings after many injury problems, but the Czech is far from being the desired opponent in round two of a Grand Slam tournament. Maria Sakkari experienced this on Wednesday on the Suzanne-Lenglen court. Muchova, who had only played five matches in the whole year before the start of the tournament in Roland Garros, won 7_6 (5) and 7:6 (4) and advanced to the third round.
There she now meets the American Amanda Anisimova, who after her success against Naomi Osaka with returnee Donna Vekic had no problems at 6: 4 and 6: 1.
