German Ladies' Series presented by Porsche: Grouping for the intermediate round of the ladies

The groups for the intermediate round of the German Ladies' Series presented by Porsche have been determined. In Darmstadt and at the DTB federal bases in Kamen and Hanover, next Tuesday the tickets for the semi-finals of the tournament series will be dealt with. Meanwhile, Anna-Lena Friedsam, who was number two, had to withdraw her participation.

Last week, twelve women secured their places in the intermediate round of the German Ladies' Series presented by Porsche. After a week's break, from June 30th to July 3rd in Darmstadt, Kamen and Hanover the move to the semi-finals. The game will once again be played in group mode, with four women competing against each other using the “round robin” system.

On the fourth day, the two best players within the group meet in a placement game for overall group victory. From the intermediate round, the first and second places in a location qualify for the semi-finals, which will be held in Darmstadt from July 15th to 18th. The remaining two starting places in the preliminary round will be filled by wildcard.

The groups in the intermediate round are led by Laura Siegemund (Darmstadt), Mona Barthel (Kamen) and Tamara Korpatsch (Hanover). Anna-Lena Friedsam, who was in second place, had to cancel her participation in the intermediate round due to injury.

Parallel to the intermediate round there is also a so-called bonus round at the three venues. In order to be able to continue collecting match practice under competition conditions during the tournament-free period, the third and fourth place finishers of the preliminary round groups will compete there.
