No surprise: Cedric-Marcel Stebe is in the last four

After the preliminary round and intermediate round tournament of the Tannenhof Resort German Men's Series at TC Großhesselohe in June, the competition with top German professionals will take place on the Isarhufer for the third time from July 21. For the tournament of the German Tennis Association (DTB) endowed with 20,000 euros in prize money, four top players with international format have qualified for the final. Cedrik-Marcel Stebe (ATP 133), Yannick Hanfmann (ATP 143), Oscar Otte (ATP 217) and Maximilian Marterer (ATP 376) will serve on the Leo Benz Center Court for four consecutive days at the tournament.

“I think we can be very happy and also a little bit proud that we won the final round of such a well-staffed tournament. Fortunately, our members now have the opportunity to watch top-class tennis from top German players live in our club. That was an important reason for the decision when the Bundesliga was canceled and we applied to the DTB for this tournament series. At this point I would also like to thank our sponsors who made it possible for us to host the event, ”says TCG President Roland Benedikt looking ahead to the final tournament, which up to 200 members of the TC Großhesselohe can attend free of charge as spectators.

Three base professionals and Cologne's Otte

Stebe, Hanfmann and Marterer are three professionals from the TennisBase in Oberhaching in Großhesselohe. Hanfmann and Marterer have had good experiences in Großhesselohe this summer. While Hanfmann won the preliminary round at the TCG on June 12, two weeks later Marterer was the best in the same place in the intermediate round. This trio has a slight home advantage over Cologne's Otte. "I feel at home here because I train nearby and know the conditions very well," Hanfmann had said after the success in Großhesselohe about the facility on Pullacher Strasse.

The games of the final tournament at TC Großhesselohe are played daily from 10.30 a.m. in a round robin system. The group games take place on the first three days. On the fourth day, the final of the first two groups and the game for third place with the third and fourth place will take place. On the first day, Hanfmann starts against Marterer in the first group match (not before 12 noon). The second game in this group (not before 2:30 p.m.) takes place between Stebe and Otte. The final on Friday, July 24th is scheduled for the small final (not before 2:30 p.m.) at around 4:00 p.m.

Top talents with their own round

In addition to this group of four, young German talent will play their own round in the same mode in the so-called "NextGen" group. The games in this group take place daily before and after the two matches of the main round group. The NextGen final on Friday is scheduled for around 12 p.m.
