At first, the Austrian tennis men didn't have too much to laugh about on Saturday: Both Dennis Novak and Jurij Rodionov failed in the first qualifying round of the ATP 500 tournament in Barcelona, but at least from the ITF tour there was a red-white-red perspective (partly) good news.

Because Alexander Erler reached the final at the ITF M25 tournament in Meerbusch, Germany, with a 6: 3 and 6: 4 success over Elmar Ejupovic. But there will be no purely Austrian final: Arthur Cazaux knew how to prevent this with a 6: 4 and 6: 4 victory over David Pichler.
