The first tournament of the Carinthian Ladies Lakes Trophy in Annenheim in the W15 category went to Silvia Ambrosio, the second there to Laura Siegemund - and it could also be in Pörtschach, where the ITF W60 event has started playing in the main draw since Monday give a German success. Because on the one hand, Siegemund is back at the start. But Eva Lys has already shown this year. For example at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart, where Lys delivered a talent test against Iga Swiatek. In any case, Lys, who was in sixth place, had no problems against Melanie Klaffner in round one in Pörtschach at 6:3 and 6:3.

Also further is Timea Babos. The Hungarian, multiple Grand Slam winner in doubles alongside Kristina Mladenovic, won 6-2 and 6-2 against Laura Ioana Paar from Romania.

Today three local heroes get into the game: From 10 a.m. Sinja Kraus will face Laura Riera from Argentina. Then Mavie Austrian plays against Annenheim winner Laura Siegemund. And finally, Barbara Haas meets Ipek Oz, the fourth-placed Turkish woman.
