Julia Grabher is in the semifinals of the Bellinzona 60k event. The lady from Dornbirn defeated the German Mona Barthel in three sets on Friday afternoon and thus bought her ticket for the semifinals. The appearance of the Austrian in Switzerland has so far been characterized by close matches. After Grabher was able to take the number one of the tournament, Oceane Dodin, out of the competition in two tiebreaks, Grabher won in the round of 16 in the short decision of the third set.

The Georgian Ekaterine Gorgodse is now waiting for Julia Grabher in the semifinals. The second semifinals are contested by Lucia Bronzetti and local hero Simona Waltert. Grabher currently ranks 246 in the WTA world rankings. In 2018, the woman from Dornbirn advanced to 198th place.
