On Friday, Melzer / Roger-Vasselin will meet Marcel Granollers / Horacio Zeballos in the third and final group game.

"I finally improved my game after the first set. I can't play much worse," said Melzer after the match. "Edouard was not impressed and cheered me up."

"You served so well, I had few chances. But I stayed positive. It is the key to victory. We are very happy," said Roger-Vasselin.
