Laver Cup: Initiations via Instagram - Fedal comeback in London?

The Laver Cup 2021 took place without the participation of the "Big Three" and without great tension. That could change in 2022.

Fedal at the Laver Cup? We like to take

The Laver Cup manages like no other tennis event to sweep the audience away with its atmosphere. Because the sporting added value of the show event is limited. But not the entertainment factor. This was impressively underlined by the encounter between Alexander Zverev and John Isner, who delivered a lively exchange of blows far beyond their outstanding qualities as a server.

Nonetheless, this Laver Cup was a Laver Cup for the great absentee. A Laver Cup with a gaping gap, which even Roger Federer's appearance in the stands could not change much. And which at the moment cannot be filled by the young wild ones, from Medvedev, Tsitsipas, Zverev & Co. Above all Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, they missed the match between Team Europe and Team World.

Fedal in London?

Although the two veterans are currently feeling the signs of the times in the form of more serious injuries, it is not out of the question that the two superstars will not have one last big hurray at the Laver Cup. No, it's actually quite realistic.

Moments after it became known that the 2022 edition of the Laver Cup will take place in London, Rafael Nadal made an attractive offer to Roger Federer via social media. Above all for tennis fans. "Doubles next year?" Asked Nadal on Instagram. And Federer, who really gave the tennis fans hope: "Bringing old Fedal back to London would be incredible!"
