The Laver Cup casts its shadow - mainly due to the announced resignation of Roger Federer. In the meantime, the two teams are finally complete, with Matteo Berrettini (Team Europe) and Tommy Paul (Team World) the substitutes were also announced at the weekend.
While Berrettini appeared for the European selection in Boston last year, it is Paul's first call-up to John McEnroe's team. This year, the American has already demonstrated his great potential with victories against Alexander Zverev (Indian Wells) and Carlos Alcaraz (Montreal).
Alongside Paul, Team World includes Felix Auger-Aliassime, Taylor Fritz, Diego Schwartzman, Alex de Minaur, Frances Tiafoe and Jack Sock. Team Europe consists of Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Casper Ruud, Andy Murray, Federer and Berrettini.
The Laver Cup takes place in London from September 23rd to 25th. All four previous editions have gone to Team Europe.
