On the second day of the Laver Cup, the stakes are traditionally doubled. And Matteo Berrettini may have walked on the edge of the abyss in some phases of his match against Félix Auger-Aliassime, but in the end the Italian prevailed 7: 6 (11), 4: 6 and 10: 7. That earned Team Europe two points, before the match between Cameron Norrie and Taylor Fritz it is 4-2 for Björn Borg's team.

Berrettini was nominated late as a substitute for Roger Federer. The Swiss will leave it at one mission. This was narrowly lost late on Friday evening alongside Rafael Nadal against Frances Tiafoe and Jack Sock. After that, Federer officially ended his career. And Nadal will no longer serve at the Laver Cup either. The Spaniard has already left and is taking care of his wife Xisca, who is expecting their first child together.
