Taylor Fritz equalized for Team World

At this year's Laver Cup, Team World continues to manage in a remarkable manner to stand up to the big favorites from Team Europe. After Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe triumphed in doubles against Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer and Alex de Minaur singles win against Andy Murray, day two started with a 2-2 draw.

With two points up for grabs for every win on Saturday, Matteo Berrettini was able to put Team Europe 4-2 up with his three-set win over Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime. But now Taylor Fritz has equalized for Team World. The American kept the upper hand against Cameron Norrie.

Fritz with a better end for himself

It actually looked like a clear affair: Fritz won round one clearly 6:1 and was able to quickly equalize an early break in set two - but then Norrie managed another break at the end of the game with a score of 4:4, that of the Briton could then also be transported to set compensation. As in game one of the day, a champions tie-break had to make the decision.

In this, Taylor Fritz clearly had the better start for himself, the 24-year-old went into the second break with an 8:4 lead, Norrie countered with four points in a row to make it 8:8. But then it was Fritz's turn to take command again: The American won both baseline duels - and fixed the equalizer for Team World with 6: 1, 4: 6 and 10: 8.

Novak Djokovic will play the other games on Saturday against Frances Tiafoe as well as Novak Djokovic/Matteo Berrettini and Jack Sock/Alex de Minaur.
