Krejcikova / Sinakova beat the Swiss team around Belinda Bencic and Viktorija Golubic 7: 5, 6: 1 in the game for gold

The three-time major winners (French Open and Wimbledon 2018, French Open 2021) initially struggled, only at 5-5 did they break the first break of the game. After winning the set, they rushed to 3-0 with a double break, but Bencic / Golubic did not give up and took a break back - but the Czechs immediately followed up and converted their fifth match point to victory.

Krejcikova / Siniakova achieved 38 winners, with only 13 of their opponents. Which also turned only one of six break chances.

Krejcikova / Siniakova were the top seeders in the doubles competition, but had to fight hard over the course of the tournament - three of their five matches were only decided in the match break.

After her individual victory and the gold medal, Bencic is going home with another precious metal.

The German team around Anna-Lena Friedsam and Laura Siegemund lost at the beginning.
