"With this series, the ÖTV wants to give Austrian players the opportunity to gain tournament experience and also support them financially with the prize money," said sports coordinator Marion Maruska.

The events are primarily to be understood as a supplement to the Generali Austrian Pro Series . "Specifically, we are targeting players who are normally on the ITF World Tennis Tour, ie the former futures, and our juniors. Of course, ATP and WTA players are also welcome," said Maruska , the former number 50 in the world.

Three women's and men's tournaments and a final Masters with the best eight players are on the program. Registration is open to all Austrian tennis players and was released on Thursday. On tennisnet's request, Maruska confirmed that the ÖTV was working on a marketing. So there could be live streams of all games.

Neudörfl, Vogau, Wels and the Vienna Colony Club will be played, at the latter location there will be a final event in Masters format. The venues are identical to those that have been a summer tournament series on the ITF tour in recent years.

32 men and 24 women compete in each tournament, the ÖTV awards four wild cards each. The winner of each tournament receives 2,000 euros as support for international travel, the Masters victory is remunerated with an additional 2,200 euros.

A 25,000 + ITF tournament at UTC La Ville in Vienna is planned for August 24-28. Regardless of whether this tournament can actually take place, the ÖTV also organizes an event for U21 players.
