Porsche Tennis Grand Prix: Laura Siegemund loses to Samsonova
No more Stuttgart fairy tale for Laura Siegemund : The winner from 2017 lost in the quarterfinals 5: 7, 3: 6 against Liudmila Samsonova.

Siegemund had a difficult day, she lacked the rhythm, many balls landed too short in the field, others flew wide. Siegemund tried her luck several times with a new racquet and in the second round gave some to string - without success.
Of course, Siegemund fought, also tried to stop the flow of play of the aggressive Samsonova with their variability, but also scattered too much towards the end.
Another fairy tale like in 2016, when she sensationally reached the final, or in 2017, when she even won, is missing.
Still, Stuttgart was a step in the right direction for Siegemund, with two peloton wins after her long break following her knee surgery last summer.
Thanks to her points from Stuttgart, Siegemund will be among the top 200 in the world rankings again next week.
