Porsche Tennis Grand Prix: Petra Kvitova and Aryna Sabalenka celebrate clear opening successes
Petra Kvitova and Aryna Sabalenka made it into the second round of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix with two clear wins.

On paper, the opening hurdle for defending champion Petra Kvitova at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart was quite uncomfortable, after all, Jennifer Brady was waiting for the Australian Open finalist. On the center court itself, the Czech had hardly any problems with the American and won 6: 4 and 6: 3. Kvitova will now meet Maria Sakkari, who had defeated Andrea Petkovic on Monday .
Aryna Sabalenka's way into the second round was a little easier. The world number seven beat Shuai Zhang 6: 2 and 6: 2. The 22-year-old has to deal with Anna-Lena Friedsam on Thursday. Like her compatriot Laura Siegemund, the German had already bought her ticket for the round of 16 in the late afternoon .
