Petra Kvitova has won 28 individual titles in her illustrious career to date, the two greatest successes were at Wimbledon, where the Czech entered the list of winners in 2011 and 2014. The fast turf suits the Kvitovas playground. But that doesn't mean that the left-hander couldn't play successfully on ashes. Last year, Petra Kvitova was in the semi-finals of the French Open as proof, and in 2015 and 2018 she succeeded in Madrid. And a year later also at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix.

The current season is not getting off to a great start yet, Kvitova was eliminated in round two against Sorana Cirstea at the Australian Open, and most recently she had to give up in Charleston in the second match. At least against the later finalist Danka Kovinic.

Brady in the final of the Australian Open

The first task in Stuttgart could hardly be more difficult: Petra Kviova meets Jennifer Brady, who, with coach Michael Geserer, brings a little home advantage to the Porsche Arena. Brady started the year brilliantly and was able to fight his way into the final of a major for the first time. In the final of the Australian Open, Naomi Osaka was still too strong. Since then, the American has only played two matches, losing in Doha against Anett Kontaveit and in Miami against Sara Sorribes Tormo at the start.

Nevertheless, Brady is in 14th place in the WTA world rankings. In view of the strong field at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, that wasn't even enough for a place in the seeded list. Probably to the displeasure of Petra Kvitova, who would have liked an easier start. The match between the two exceptional women is scheduled for the fourth time after 11:30 a.m. - and can be followed live on Eurosport and in the stream on porsche-tennis.de.
