The big three continue to break all records - this time in the person of Rafael Nadal . By beating Sam Querrey in the Wimbledon quarter-finals, the Mallorcan qualified for the ATP finals for the 15th time in a row, improving his own record by another year.

The 18-time Grand Slam winner will have at least 6225 points after the race classic in the Race to London - enough to exceed the qualification limit of 5970 points. Behind Nadal are Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer in the race, the two men who could separate the Spaniard from his third title at Wimbledon.

With a tournament victory in Wimbledon, world number one Djokovic would also join the qualified players. In contrast to Nadal, it has been extremely successful for the Serb at the year-end tournament with five victories.

Nadal, on the other hand, has never won the unofficial World Cup. The 33-year-old reached the final in 2010 and 2013, last year the Spaniard had to cancel the ATP finals due to an abdominal muscle injury.
