Rafael Nadal wants to start in Tokyo in singles, doubles and mixed

As CroniSport Tenis reports on Twitter, Rafael Nadal plans to play all competitions at the Tokyo Olympics. In the doubles he will probably start with Marc Lopez , in the mixed Garbine Muguruza should be at his side.

Rafael Nadal has already celebrated Olympic gold twice. 2008 in single when he defeated Fernando Gonzalez at the Beijing Olympics. 2016 in Rio de Janeiro. where he was able to bring the gold medal to Spain in a double alongside Marc Lopez. But the Spaniard's hunger for medals is far from satisfied, the 33-year-old told the Spanish newspaper Marca: "At the Olympic Games you always try to give your maximum. Now CroniSport tenis reported that the Mallorcan had planned a start in singles, doubles and mixed. Accordingly, the Spaniard should double on Marc Lopez's side, in mixed he would probably be on the pitch with Garbine Muguruza. The latter is already looking forward to the Olympic Games: "I would like to be at the Olympic Games because it is something very special," said the Australian Open finalist from 2020.

Rafael Nadal is preparing to significantly upgrade his personal medal count in the summer. The competition in Tokyo will be tough, as the Spaniard knows: "It is without a doubt the competition that is the most difficult to win in our sport." A good omen for Rafael Nadal could be that the Olympic Games will take place in Asia - where the 33-year-old won his first gold medal. And: According to the plan, Nadal seems to have several chances anyway to bring precious metal to Spain.
