Stebe dominated the intermediate round in Oberhaching

In the last group game of the Tannenhof Resort German Men's Series in the TennisBase Oberhaching, young Bavarian talent Max Rehberg faced a difficult task - against top favorite Cedrik-Marcel Stebe. The one-man Stebe was able to demonstrate his good form in the first two days of the tournament and win both matches with ease. Against the youngster from Munich, the left-hander lived up to his role as favorite on Thursday and won 6: 1, 6: 3.

"Although my games have all been rather shorter so far, you can tell the three matches in a row, of course. I'm very satisfied with my performance today and in the last two days," said Stebe after his match on the center court of the DTB federal base. Despite the clear result, the 29-year-old praised his opponent, 13 years his junior, "Max is really very far for his age. Sometimes he is a bit hectic, but he has good shots and if he stays on, he can do it right become good."

Finale Stebe - Masur on Friday

The final day is for Stebe against Daniel Masur, who lost to Johannes Härteis 6: 7, 6: 1 and 5: 7 despite two match balls, but moved into the final due to the better set record against Härteis and Rehberg (all 1: 2 matches). Stebe and Masur met on Tuesday. "I played very focused and performed well there, but of course he will do everything he can to retaliate tomorrow. I'm looking forward to the game," said Stebe.

Bonus round - Bachinger is looking forward to revenge

In the last group game of the bonus round, local hero Matthias Bachinger confidently scored his second victory. The 33-year-old prevailed against the youngster Philip Florig 6: 3, 6: 2 and was satisfied with his match: "I had some difficulties and heavy legs from yesterday's game at the start of the game today, but then things went better and better and I was able to play my game. " Tomorrow's final day is again for Bachinger against group winner Peter Heller, who won his third match in a row against Niklas Guttau 6-1, 6-2. "I am definitely motivated for tomorrow and am looking forward to a revenge on the final day," said Bachinger, who suffered a defeat in the group game on Tuesday against the 27-year-old from Cham.
