The Russian tennis player Yana Sizikova was arrested by the Paris police on Friday for alleged manipulation in a doubles at the 2020 French Open. This is reported by the AFP news agency.

The 26-year-old is said to have contributed to the set win of the Romanian opponents Andreea Mitu and Patricia Maria Tig in doubles with her US partner Madison Brengle on September 30th last year through two intended double errors. Sizikova and Brengle lost the first round game 6: 7 (8) and 4: 6.

The Russian is currently 101st in the double world rankings and was eliminated in the first round of this year's French Open.
