Angelique Kerber can sing a song about how long it can take until the desired package finally arrives from the other end of the world.

After her Australian Open triumph in 2016, she had to wait four weeks until the more than ten kilogram copy of the Daphne Akhurst Memorial Cup arrived at her home. Customs problems are said to have delayed the "delivery" of their first Grand Slam Cup.

For Novak Djokovic it is already the Norman Brookes Challenge Cup number seven. But after all, every major trophy is something special.

"The cup will be forwarded, it is too big to take with it" Novak Djokovic

When the industry leader left Melbourne Airport, he said of the lack of "evidence" of his memorable final victory over Rafael Nadal (6: 3, 6: 2, 6: 3): "The Cup will be forwarded, it is too big for it to take along. "

The "Happy Slam" winner's cup is named after former Melbourne tennis player Sir Norman Brookes (1877-1968). The Australian became the first Wimbledon winner in 1907 who was not a Brit. Incidentally, Roger Federer always names his Melbourne Cups by name: "Norman".
