Top spin in tennis? Stands for great products and of course a lot of spin! In the past few weeks, four experts had the opportunity to test three popular strings from the Topspin range.

Topspin Cyber Flash

Simon Braunsar (ITN 5.8) raised the Topspin Cyber Flash . He was particularly impressed by the control: "Both forehand, backhand and volleyballs can be controlled extremely well with this string," he says. Simon is also very satisfied in terms of durability. He was able to keep up with his partner's pace without any problems, but it was not easy for him to get going on loose balls. "In any case, I still have to play matches against weaker opponents in order to be able to play dead balls more and to find a feeling for playing looser balls with the racket," is his plan. Whether he will play the string permanently? Quite possible!

Top spin max rotation

While the Cyber Flash is not an extreme "spin monster", the 7-sided Topspin Max Rotation is the right choice for everyone who wants maximum spin. Martin Kirchmair (ITN 4.0) was one of the two testers of the string for maximum spin - and he was impressed. "A treat for any player who values spin in their shots. My usual training partners immediately noticed the difference between my old and the new string", says Martin, who describes the "Max Rotation" as a "must have for every clay court player". Best of all, it also got top marks in the categories of speed, control and durability - a wonderful combo! His conclusion: He will switch to "Max Rotation": "It is an extension for my game in every respect. Extreme spin combined with control and durability. An unbeatable combination for me.”

Patrick Passegger (ITN 4.2) also took on the “Max Rotation” – as a more straightforward player, he too was able to take advantage of the good spin properties. He rates the string as rock-solid: "It was particularly convincing in terms of durability and tension stability". However, Patrick warns to be careful with arm problems as the string is a bit stiffer in his opinion.

Topspin Hybro Spin

The Topspin Hybro Spin , a hybrid combination of square and round poly, convinced Carmen Schultheiss (LK 1.2) - even if she got a little less speed than her previous string. “The development of spin is easier than with other strings and the shape of the string also supports it ideally. Due to the higher bounce of the ball, the opponent is also under a lot of pressure and it compensates for the slight speed deficit.” At first she hesitated whether she needed more spin in the game – now she is sure! "My shots felt safer and my control increased, which is an important factor with my style of play." Carmen also gives full points in terms of tension stability and durability.
